Welcome to our second installment of the New “Uprockers” Blog presented to you by the one and only-Mbeezy! Our first weekly update is sponsored by “Lollicup Coffee and Tea” located at 1253 Pleasant Grove in Roseville. And when I say sponsored, I mean I wrote this here while drinking and eating their food!

This week is a special one for us. We’re busier than ever with recordings, mixing and lessons. The awesome, charismatic “4mulation” band was in the building, instructed by our lead instructor Gavin Roberts. The young band members: Hunter Stewart (13 guitar), Jacob Tipper (12 drums), Nate Ziegler (13 bass) and Devon Pique (13 vocals/piano), have been under our wings for 2 years and continue to grow every week. They’ve been featured in the Placer Herald and have played a few dozen shows including, Downtown Tuesday Nights, The Placer County Fair, several County Festivals, school talent shows, and Uprock Studio Concerts. This coming up Thursday they are set to perform at their middle school graduation dance. You can get updates on “4mulation” on their fb page at: Their next gigs scheduled are June 21 at Placer County Fair, and June 22 “Relay for Life” Cancer Fundraiser. It won’t be too long until we see these mini rock stars under bigger lights. Catch them now, before the floods of young girls grab a hold of them!

Also in the studio to record this week, was the beautiful singer-songwriter Chelsea Hughes. My first introduction to Chelsea was at “Shady Coffee” Open Mic Fridays. Her distinct soulful voice caught my attention right away. Not to mention her songwriting and guitar skills were very impressive. I recall speaking to one of the “Uprockers” about recruiting her to record then, and we’re now very excited to cater to her talent. Catch Chelsea at‎

Along with Chelsea and “4mulation”, our engineers have been hard at work. John Glover has been quite the busy bee of late, mixing and editing Chelsea Hughes, and Stevie Nader’s projects. Local songwriter Josh Lane also stopped by our studio for a late night session this week, and folk/pop artist Ali K. logged in some recording as well.

Many tunes are brewing within our walls, and we’re proud to share with you all soon. We’ve been blessed to work with many talented locals. Thank you for being Uprockers! With that said, that wraps it up for this week. We have another exciting week ahead of us. Please stay tuned and look out for this month’s featured artist “Stevie Nader” to be posted shortly.
