Being both very well run and having an abundance of talented musicians in attendance, this open mic experience provides all the longed for elements: a beautiful and comfortable mixed indoor/outdoor setting, great beverages and the additional availability of delicious food, good sound reinforcement and a nice stage feel, as well as a nice variety amongst the styles and types of performers.
“…beautiful setting, great beverages and food, good sound, and a nice feel…”
The added bonuses are the warmth of a fire among a very inviting couch setting backed by ivy and over hardwood flooring. And, dare I say but I must, the comforting option of a relaxing indoor space to get away from the music if the need should arise. No uncomfortable shoulder-to-shoulder standing and no shouting over a wailing performer to get your coffee order in.
The open mic is hosted by David Albertson, a local guitarist and instructor, with the assistance of various friends and band mates. You can find David teaching at any of a number of local music studios, or performing around town with his band Pointdexter. Check them out here
